Products  ProfiBus
DeviceNet™
and ProfiBus are open network standards that provide reduced system
complexity and significant reductions in wiring costs. Both options
are gateways to the Servida™ Motor’s secondary port. This allows
the Servida™ Motor to be placed on a Standard Bus with devices from
other manufacturers such as sensors, inverters, etc.

DeviceNet™
and ProfiBus may also provide communications links between subsystems
or system-level components.
The results are improved control communications between devices and
important device-level diagnostics.
DeviceNet™ and ProfiBus Servida™ Motor’s can only be configured as
a slave devices, not as Master Devices.

The
DeviceNet™ and ProfiBus Servida™ Motors are modular in design, with
the standard Servida™ Motor module adapted to work in conjunction
with a DeviceNet™ or ProfiBus gateway. The DeviceNet™ and ProfiBus
gateways use a separate dedicated controller for operation which
means that varying network traffic demands will not affect the ability
of the Servida™ Motor to handle motion and Input/Outnput tasks.
The standard Servida™ Motor is equipped with two serial ports. The
gateways use the second port.
